Municipal Waste-to-Energy, US: GREENBRIER, West Virginia
The Greenbrier project is a MWE abatement scheme located in West Virginia, US. The Greenbrier project involves the destruction of methane by flaring. The project was listed with the Climate Action Reserve in August 2009.
Landfill gas which would otherwise be vented to the atmosphere is captured through a gas collection system and combusted in a standard candlestick flare.
Sindicatum’s MWE team installed, owns and operates all equipment used on the Greenbrier landfill site.
