Sindicatum Projects
Low Carbon Energy, Indonesia: TAMBUN, West Java
The Tambun project involves the capture of associated gas which is emitted by oil refining in Indonesia, to produce condensate and LPG for sale to the secondary markets. The source of the gas is the oil production facilities in the Tambun and Pondok fields in West Java. The project was registered with the UNFCCC in February 2008, and is expected to generate c. 1.8 million CERs over its life.
The project utilizes a mini LPG plant of 15 mmscf per day, condensate removal facilities and a 35 km 8” diameter steel pipeline, with associated compressors, metering stations and safety valves.
Sindicatum has an advisory role on this project. Sindicatum is using its climate change expertise to act as a consultant (in particular to develop the CDM documentation and to manage the registration and on-going verification processes).
