Pamplona, Negros Oriental, PhilippinesAdvanced Development

We and our local partner have entered into an agreement to develop up to 100MW of wind generation in Negros Oriental, within the Visayas Region of the Philippines. The project is covered by a Wind Energy Service Contract granted by the Philippine Department of Energy, covering both a Northern and Southern Parcels.

We are first developing the Southern Parcel, utilizing 10 wind turbines to generate a gross capacity of 49.5MW. Feasibility studies and preliminary engineering have been completed, based on the on-site wind data collected from a met mast installed at the site. The project has obtained initial permits and clearances, including environmental and indigenous people clearances, as well as the endorsement of local government units. The project site is primarily within public domain, and the land is leased from the Government of the Philippines.

A new joint venture project company, Inner Channel Wind Corporation, has been established to carry forward existing permits and clearances and continue development activities and implement the project. We are in discussions on a bilateral PPA with the local distribution utilities.
