MWE Technology

Technology plays an important role in each of Sindicatum’s MWE projects.

In order to maximize gas collection from our landfill gas projects in Asia, Sindicatum has developed a propriety technology, the Optimum Biogas Collection™ system (“OBC”) specifically with fast decomposing Asian municipal waste in mind.  The technology is based on a number of innovative features, including horizontal suction pipes (as opposed to vertical ones) couched in specially designed support frames wrapped with unique geofabric materials.  The OBC provides enhanced gas collection, thus yielding greater clean energy production and emission reductions.  Upon successful collection, gas is transferred to a compression, conditioning and pre treatment plant.  Conditioned and compressed gas is then sent to electrical generators.  Any surplus gas is sent to enclosed ground flares.

As well as minimizing the environmental impact of landfills, Sindicatum is also using an advanced technology to ensure that in the future as much waste as possible is diverted away from landfills and that MSW is managed in an environmentally sustainable manner.   The technology involved uses simple mechanical and naturally occurring biological processes to reduce MSW to high quality compost and clean energy.  The technology uniquely integrates a hybrid aerobic/anaerobic bioconversion process inside a single sealed vessel, allowing MSW to be completely processed onsite, with high-quality compost and clean power as the only outputs. Prior to bioconversion, a robust system sorts incoming waste, removing recyclables and inorganic matter. This allows for easy deployment, even in markets where household-level recycling is not the norm.

To ensure we keep track of project performance, Sindicatum’s monitoring process includes our bespoke “Telgas” monitoring system which gathers data from all of the operational control systems on site and makes it available live and in real time to Sindicatum’s global management team.  This allows Sindicatum to ensure the consistency of its operations, to bring a wide range of technical skills instantly to its MSW projects, and to ensure compliance with its environmental and other performance standards.
